For years we have been the ICT partner of Finder Relais Netherlands. We are very proud to manage their Private Cloud environment; we handle server, network, email, and telephony management and provide backups, internet connection, and Wi-Fi, so that Finder can focus on what they are good at: selling their own products: relays, timers, and switching blocks for industry, machine building, and utilities.

Due to a large fire, the entire building was totally destroyed

On April 22, 2017, a major fire occurred in the Finder building in the Westelijk Havengebied in Amsterdam. Everything was totally destroyed, including the entire ICT environment; all servers, computers, and phones. We set up a crisis team that weekend and immediately went to work to get Finder operational again within two days.

Because we provide independent backup locations, we were able to re-establish the Private Cloud environment on Infracom's servers and in our Data Center within 2 days, so that the people at Finder Relais Netherlands had access to their files and programs again.

Immediate setup of workstations

In our branch in Amsterdam, we have a lot of office space, so colleagues from Zwolle and Emmen can also (flex)work in Amsterdam. Due to this extra space and available hardware, we were literally able to help Finder out of the fire and temporarily offer our office spaces.

Availability has hardly been gone

Finder uses our Hosted VoIP solution (PBX in the Cloud), which meant it took little effort for us to maintain Finder's telephone accessibility, despite the destroyed phones and the temporary location. Fortunately, we also manage the domain and, together with the email backup, were able to restore and activate all email so that Finder could mail again.

Entire ICT environment renewed

Finder has since moved to the beautifully rebuilt building, Duckdalfweg 51 in Amsterdam. During the reconstruction of the building, we were again allowed to set up the Private Cloud and supply all hardware (UPS, patch cabinet, workstations, servers).
