The additional hardware we install for this is called a 'Trunk,' which connects your phone system to the internet instead of one or more analog or ISDN lines. This can result in cost savings of up to 60%.
With internet calling, you can cancel your analog or ISDN phone lines. You only pay for the internet connection, which you often already need, plus a small additional amount to reserve bandwidth for voice traffic. This ensures call quality under all circumstances while still achieving cost savings in most cases.
By choosing the 'trunk' solution, you can keep your existing phone system. If it hasn’t been fully depreciated, this can be a good option.
Additionally, you can retain your current handsets. Moving to a cloud-based phone system would require IP phones, which often need to be purchased. While this is a good long-term investment since the phones we provide last for many years, it is an extra cost. If you want to avoid this, you can choose to use a trunk solution (in combination with a VoIP and mobile solution where mobile phones act as landlines).
Whether you choose VoIP or the trunk, we can, in cooperation with Grenke Finance N.V., also offer the option to lease your hardware via operational lease. This allows you to have minimal or even no upfront costs while still benefiting from your new solution.
The trunk is ideal as an interim solution before fully migrating to a cloud-based phone system. If you have the knowledge to manage your own phone system and it is still functional (including the handsets), you can use the trunk for several years until your system and/or devices need replacement. At that point, you can fully unlock the potential of VoIP.
