Meet Elise Reitsma
09 March 2021For those who do not know her yet or are curious about what Elise does, we would like to introduce her better. Since 2015, Elise has often been the first point of contact within Infracom.
Whether you call, send an email, or visit our office in Zwolle; chances are you will speak to her first!
Elise is responsible for domain name registrations.
Requesting domain names must be done properly and quickly, before someone else takes your chosen name. Do you want a generic domain name (gTLD), a country domain name (TLD, ccTLD), or a special character in your domain? Elise arranges it for you! Online success starts with a good domain name.
Elise adds:
“Special characters can be registered but they look very strange with our provider: sjovpåtur.dk = xn--sjovptur-e0a.dk in our DNS management it looks different again: sjovpaatur.dk”
What else do you do at Infracom?
“I have various office management tasks, which make it possible for my colleagues to work well and pleasantly. And as a receptionist I welcome customers and relations and make sure they get a nice cup of coffee or tea.”
“I monitor the info@ / administratie@ / dom-reg@ / admin@ mailboxes and answer the emails or make sure they reach the right colleague. I also take care of purchasing facility items such as coffee, tea, and office supplies.”
How do you like working as a woman in an IT company?
“IT is a men’s world, but at Infracom we are changing that! We are still in the minority, but now we are 6 IT ladies. One of them is already in management and in a few years two will be part of the board!”
What do you do in your free time?
“In May 2020, I started my own company Beadz en Baby. A webshop where I sell handmade pacifier cords and teething rings for babies. The products are handmade by me and are 100% free of harmful substances and therefore completely safe for babies.”
“I would like to go back to the gym. I don’t have much motivation to exercise at home, but I do enjoy walking or roller skating.”
Would you like to share something else so readers get to know you better?
“I live with my boyfriend in Zwolle, hopefully we can buy a house once the housing prices become more reasonable and there is more supply. And as soon as possible, I want to go out for dinner, sit on a terrace with friends, and go shopping. Things that are not possible now but that I really look forward to!”
