The ICT ladies of Infracom
20 April 2021We work in ICT and we are proud of it. In the ICT sector, men are still overrepresented. Women often drop out because it is difficult to find their footing in the men's team, leaving them somewhat isolated from the team.
We at Infracom do not have that problem. There are six of us, we are a good team, and we mix just fine among all those guys!
Women in a men's team?
The fact that we women are a minority in ICT does not mean that we are less passionate. We live for ICT and always find it a great challenge to look for the best-fitting ICT solution for the customer. Through our efforts in their ICT, we want to ensure that our customers gain more freedom to pursue their own passion. After all, they no longer have to worry about whether their systems work well, are safe and reliable. In this way, we contribute to the success of our customers. Good ICT stands for good communication with our customers; you must know what the expectations are. And communicating happens to be something women are generally good at.
We write a newsletter for you every two weeks. There are always nice images with it, but have you noticed that ICT stock photos almost always feature men? We would like to change that and recently had a photo shoot with the six of us. So you will see more of us soon. And click through our website; we have already replaced some images.
Infracom ICT
One of our directors is a woman with a technical background! We have a female developer, a woman who registers all domains, a woman for administration, a woman in commerce, and a lady who is currently completing her ICT studies (Master Business Informatics), after which she will take on a prominent position within Infracom.
We have pink in our corporate identity, we are cherished by the men, and we are at least as good!
