Is fiber already available at your new address?

Fiber is still not available everywhere. First we check whether fiber is present at the new address and whether digging is required. If fiber is available, we look at which providers are available.

Which fiber provider?

We choose a provider, taking into account price, experience and reliability. Prices range from €100.00 to €700.00 per month. The price depends on the provider and the location of the building. If the digging distance is too far, this is reflected in the one-time costs.

No fiber available?

Then our suppliers request it. If digging is required, an application is first submitted to the municipality. If the ground is polluted, or it is an archaeological area, the application may not be granted.

High demand for fiber!

When the application is approved, digging actually takes place. Because fiber is still being requested in many places, there is a shortage of cabling specialists. Hence the long waiting times.

How does fiber enter the building?

If a fiber connection is available, that does not mean it is also available inside the building. A cable will be pulled inside, at the nearest location from the fiber. Often that is next to the front door.

The cable is mounted on the wall (in consultation), meaning the fiber is connected to a box (FTU). Then we hang a router and lay the cable to the patch cabinet, to then configure the switch.

Wired or wireless internet?

If you want wired internet, the internal cabling must also be in order. Do you want wireless internet? Then we will place wifi access points. You don't have to wait until fiber is available, this can already be started once you have the key to the new building.
