Which education did you follow?

"I completed the Business IT & Management program at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in Zwolle."

Why did you choose ICT?

"I chose to study ICT because I have enjoyed working with computers from a young age. At home I was responsible for the network and system and was busy creating websites myself. Besides being practically involved with ICT, I also enjoy learning about the technology behind it."

How long have you been working in ICT?

"I have been working in ICT for 5 years as of this year."

Have you always worked in ICT?

"I used to have side jobs that had nothing to do with ICT but since the beginning of my professional career I have been working in IT."

Why and when did you join Infracom?

"When I was looking for a graduation assignment for my studies in 2017, I first came into contact with Infracom. Infracom had an interesting assignment around incident management. I carried out this assignment with great pleasure by setting up a package selection process. By going through this process I immediately had close contact with various employees of Infracom. At the end of my graduation project I gave advice for a new package and successfully completed it. At the end of this period I was of course also looking to start working after my studies, and because it clicked so well with the colleagues here and the atmosphere I experienced during graduation, it seemed very nice to start working here."

"They also thought it was a good idea within Infracom and so I started in the support department at Infracom. Of course I also enjoyed seeing the continuation of my graduation project and being able to carry out the final implementation of the incident management system myself. This was successful and the system is still in use today!"

"After about a year in the support department I noticed that my ambition was less in hands-on support and more in consultancy. I really enjoy being the connection between the customer and the technology. To do this more I started working in the software department at Infracom. Here I enjoy a combination of support, inventories and consultancy projects with our customers where we develop the most beautiful software and web applications that really support the customer's process."
 

What is fun about working at Infracom?

"The team at Infracom is simply a great team to work in, we have nice colleagues and are helpful to each other. There is an informal and open atmosphere within the team which makes working together pleasant. Furthermore, we have a nice customer base and with these customers it often involves long-term relationships so you are closely involved in the customer's processes to provide the best fitting solution."

How do you stay up to date with developments in your field?

"Mainly through colleagues and by doing desk research myself on interesting topics we deal with daily or that may be relevant for us."

Do you want to share something so the reader gets to know you better?

"Of course, I enjoy watching movies and series or gaming in my free time as a true IT professional. In addition, I enjoy playing guitar and try to stay sporty by going for a run at least twice a week."

"Web applications are currently in high demand. Companies are working on simplifying and digitizing processes to make work more enjoyable. By using ICT smartly they save time and our customers can pay more attention to their customers. In fact, we contribute to their success in this way."
