What is Spam?

Spam is the frequent and unsolicited receipt or sending of messages by email or phone. It is prohibited to send unsolicited messages when you have not given prior consent.

What can you do against spam?

Do not leave your email address everywhere!

Companies sell customer data to third parties. They sell your data to spammers. Often these are promotions where you can win something by entering your email address, and often you unknowingly give permission to share your data. Spam messages are messages sent to many people. If only a very small percentage of recipients makes a purchase, the costs of the spam mail are already covered.

Do not reward the spammer! Never respond to spam messages and never buy products via a spam message. If you do, spam will continue to exist. Unsubscribe from received newsletters or block the sender's email address by adding it to the list of blocked senders.

Use a spam filter

A spam filter on your computer protects you against spam. You do not receive the messages or the email often ends up in a separate mailbox. You can purchase a spam filter yourself, but make sure you update this software regularly. Internet providers usually also offer spam filters.

The purpose of our spam filter is to recognize spam based on content patterns.

An additional function we offer is specifically blocking email (addresses/domains) using a blacklist. Also, ‘false positive’ mail can be prevented from ending up in spam with a whitelist.

Set SPF record correctly

In addition to the spam filter, we ensure that the SPF record is set correctly. This is especially against Phishing. SPF ensures that others cannot send mail with your own email address/domain, provided it is set correctly.
