Co-Pilot: Microsoft’s business AI assistants

Microsoft offers various AI assistants, each with its own specifications. These assistants act like great colleagues who support your work, answer questions, provide factual information, and help solve problems. They can also translate, summarize, edit, and rewrite texts. The umbrella name for all these assistants is Copilot, based on OpenAI’s ChatGPT models.

Examples of AI assistants

Copilot, formerly Bing Chat Enterprise
This private chat service offers commercial data protection. You can use Copilot to write, check, edit, and summarize texts. The key difference is that all interactions remain private within your organization. No chat data is stored, and Microsoft does not access other language models for training. It’s available for most Microsoft 365 and Office 365 licenses at no extra cost.
 

Microsoft 365 Co-Pilot
This more advanced AI combines the power of language models with your data in Microsoft 365 apps. It searches all available data sources, including emails, meetings, documents, and chats, to generate accurate responses. Co-Pilot in Word can even work alongside you, writing, editing, and summarizing text as you work on a document.
 

Copilot in Windows
This feature is specifically aimed at the Windows operating system. With Co-Pilot in Windows, you can perform tasks faster and more efficiently from the sidebar on your desktop.
