RTV Drenthe provides annual coverage of the largest one-day sporting event in the Netherlands. They do this not only via radio and television, but also online, including through their dedicated TT website www.ttdrenthe.nl. 

The previous website no longer met current needs and requirements. Since we had previously developed web projects for RTV Drenthe, we were also asked to create the new website for TT Drenthe.

WordPress

The new website uses WordPress as the management system, mainly because the web editors at RTV Drenthe are already familiar with it and it is a user-friendly open-source system.

API Integration

The news articles displayed on the website and the 'JouwTT' posts appear automatically thanks to an API integration with RTV Drenthe’s news system (NIS). This means that web editors at RTV Drenthe only need to create or edit news articles in one place.

Useful Widgets

Some fun and useful widgets on the website include the countdown clock at the top, counting down to the start of the MotoGP race, which begins on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at 14:00. The current weather and traffic are also displayed at the top of the website. Additionally, the 'Live Radio' and 'Live TV' buttons allow users to watch or listen to RTV Drenthe’s live streams.
