A WordPress website for two target groups

For Candor, an independent insurance advisor from Emmen, we developed a new WordPress website that quickly provides both private and SME customers with the right information. The site is clear, matches Candor’s visual identity and offers plenty of space for content, helping visitors find their way more easily while strengthening Candor’s online visibility.

What was the challenge?

Candor’s old website no longer matched what visitors expect today. The look and feel were outdated and the structure offered too little guidance. At the same time, Candor wanted more room for content so visitors would be better informed and the organisation would become more findable online.

The challenge was clear: develop a website suitable for both private and business customers, present a lot of information in a structured way and ensure the site is easy to maintain.

How did we approach this?

We developed the website in WordPress using the Astra theme as a foundation. Through an intake session, we mapped out the target groups, core values and goals. We then built a logical structure in which private and business sections are clearly separated, product information is easy to find and contact options are prominently placed.

Candor writes the content themselves and went live last month with the private section of the website. Because it’s important to regularly update a website and add new content, we advised filling the business section while the site was already in use. This is beneficial for SEO and GEO, and also practical for planning and time constraints on Candor’s side. This allowed the website to go live sooner and Candor immediately benefited from the new site.

 

Why is content so important?

For Candor, improving online visibility was an important goal. Content plays a central role in this. By giving relevant topics, insurance information, news and frequently asked questions a clear place on the website, you help visitors move forward more quickly. At the same time, you increase the chance of being found through search engines and AI‑driven search environments. The website is therefore designed with attention to both SEO and GEO.
